A Self-Help Guide For Natural Remedies

Mercury Toxicity Natural Treatment

Mercury is one of the most toxic metals-even more so than lead. This poison is found in our soil, water, food supply, fish, shellfish, sewage sludge, fungicides, and pesticides. Some grains and seeds are treated with methyl mercury chlorine bleaches, which seep into our food supply. Because methyl mercury contaminates our waters, large amounts are found in fish, particularly larger ones that are further along in the food chain. it is also used in many products, such as dental fillings, fabric softeners, cosmetics, laxatives containing calomel, some hemorrhoid suppository preparations and other medications, polishes, wood preservatives, latex, solvents, plastics, ink used by printers and tattooers, and some paints.
More than 180 million Americans have mercury amalgam fillings. When dentists refer to silver fillings, they are usually referring to amalgams, which contain 50 percent mercury. Minute amounts of methyl mercury are released from amalgam fillings while chewing; this mercury  is absorbed into the mouth and air passages and transported in the blood. There is no barrier that prohibits mercury from reaching the brain cells. Mercury is extremely toxic and can do serious damage to the brain. The Swedish government has taken steps to ban the use of mercury amalgam fillings.
Mercury is a cumulative poison that is retained in the pain center of the brain and the central nervous system. Significant amounts of mercury in your body can produce insomnia, dizziness, fatigue, weakness, depression, memory loss, dermatitis, and hair loss. High levels can also interfere with enzyme activity, resulting in paralysis and blindness.
Signs indicative of a child suffering from mercury toxicity include behavioral changes, depression, irritability, and hyperactivity. Adults may display these symptoms as well. Victims may also experience allergic reactions or asthma; they may complain about a metallic taste in their mouth, and their teeth may loosen.
